In a special 50th anniversary celebration, we welcome back Sir James Galway as soloist, in Ibert’s sparkling Flute Concerto, as well as Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 for two flutes and violin, joined by with his wife, Lady Jeanne Galway and concertmaster, Suzanne Beia. Aaron Copland’s masterful Three Latin American Sketches are quirky and fun, inspired by his journeys abroad. Stravinsky’s Pulcinella, which we recorded in 2004 on our first CD, highlights the chamber orchestra as we mark our 50th anniversary.
